Stereosonic 2009 Sydney & Brisbane
The Stereosonic Festival tour will be back this November, with promoters Hardware and Onelove taking it to the five major cities for the very first time.
What stands out most about this year's Stereosonic lineup is the 'now' factor. While it's toplined by Deadmau5, a favourite with Australian audiences who is arguably the most successful DJ/producer working in dance music today, alongside rock-solid names in house like Axwell, Fedde Le Grand and John Dahlback, the lineup is just as much defined by acts like Bloody Beetroots, The Crookers and Surkin who represent the new wave of electronica dominating the clubs in 2009.
Ride to Work Day Breakfast
The City of Sydney is hosted the Sydney CBD Ride to Work Day breakfast in Hyde Park South. This event coincides with National Ride to Work Day, a national event/programme encouraging new cyclists to continue to ride as a mode of transport.
National Recycling Week Launch
The official launch of National Recycling week kicked off in Martin Place.Like last year the highlight of the event includes the giant swap meet. A Live Green House will also be erected on the steps of Martin Place with entertainment provided by Monica Trapaga and live music.
