There was a journey of spirits over NYE for Lost Paradise Patrons.
The festival allowed old tribes to unite, & celebrate whilst new tribes were forged. People connected, communed, co-created and discovered the spirit of pleasure in the paradise of the valley.
The three day glamping escape featured live music, art installations, yoga, food and much more, all lovingly wrapped in community.

World Movies Secret Cinema 2014
Hundreds of unsuspecting guests departed on a cinematic journey back to the 1920s, as World Movies took over the iconic Brisbane Tramway Museum for the city's first World Movies Secret Cinema, welcoming close to 1000 Brisbane molls & dolls for secret film screening across four nights.
Guests were greeted by a live Jazz band, burlesque performances, Charleston dancers and roaming actors that bewildered and mesmerised the crowd. Cinema goers were also treated to a delicious Asian-inspired snack, which was complimented by a glass of Australian Wine.
Finally, guests were led to a screening area, where they were taken on a thrilling journey to 1020s China in the Martial arts flick Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen starring Donnie Yen and Qi Shu.

Tastes At The Bay
Foodies rejoiced – as in Port Stephens area in early November, there was plenty of local and visiting delicacies to sample at Nelson Bay‘s annual Food, Wine and Jazz celebration.
You could sample some of the fabulous wines produced in the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens, as well as delight in the delicious gourmet fare on offer from some of the region’s finest restaurants.
The Tastes at the Bay Food and Wine Festival took place on November 1 to 2 at the Nelson Bay foreshore – the event offered up the best mix of fine food, drink and entertainment anywhere in the area.
The spectacular waterfront at d'Albora Marinas on the Nelson Bay foreshore hosted fine food restaurants, wineries and craft beer from the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens regions along with music to make your day on four free entertainment stages.
This major culinary event also offered a selection of children’s activities in Apex Park, adjacent to d'Albora Marinas including rides, slides, kids stalls, a petting zoo and pony rides.
Of course, there was a great selection of entertainment throughout the festival – with jazz tantalising visitors senses.
Crows Nest Festival 2014
Each year the festival grows, it’s estimated the Crows Nest Festival attracts over forty-thousand people during the day, each of them focused on sharing in the community spirit that exists as a result of 250 stall holders, 3 stages & entertainment areas, inflatable rides, petting zoos, craftspeople, street entertainers and musicians merging together for the benefit of Crows Nest.
Now in its 25th year, the annual Crows Nest Festival was be held on 19th October 2014.

Smooth Festival of Chocolate

Vivid - Martin Place - 2014
Vivid Sydney has three pillars: light, music and ideas. It is where art, technology and commerce intersect. It provides a summit, forum and playground for the creative industries to collaborate, experiment, conduct business and showcase their creativities to their industry peers and the general public.
Vivid Light transforms the city after dark with immersive light installations and projections. Over 18 nights, Vivid Light showcases interactive light art sculptures, innovative installations and grand scale projections onto building facades.
Vivid Light is a key part of Vivid Sydney (May 23 – June 9, 2014), which is the city’s annual festival of light, music and ideas. Now heading into its sixth year, Vivid Sydney has become Australia’s major festival in winter and is a signature event on the NSW Events Calendar.
The Blue Water Country & Blues Music Festival is one of Port Stephens Shire Flagship Annual Events. With over 15 different locations around Ports Stephens the festival showcases many of the recognisable names in the Country Music Scene, as well as emerging talents of Country Music. This year we were excited to be adding Blues based acts to the line up. Attracting all ages and demographics with its varying activities of music acts, country acts, family friendly environments and daily markets.
The Armin Only, Intense Tour, took Australian fans on a solo journey that showcased the album, ‘Intense’ through an all encompassing sound and visual spectacular.
Returning for his first Australian solo tour, since 2010, Armin van Buuren fans had been eagerly anticipating when the world’s number one DJ would make his next appearance on Australian shores. The time had finally come and the wait was over. Australian fans rejoiced and commenced the countdown for Armin Only, Intense.
RSPCA Million Paws Walk - 2014
RSPCA’s largest fundraiser will be in its 20th year in 2014. Held nationally on Sunday 18 May 2014, Million Paws Walk is more than just a regular walk, with thousands of people and their four-legged friends taking part across New South Wales. Come join in the walk to fight animal cruelty!
Money raised through donations and online fundraising will help fund our critical work in the community, including the care of more than 30,000 animals entering our shelters each year.
Taking part in the Million Paws Walk is a great way to help animals in need. All animal lovers were encouraged to dust off those walking shoes and come down on the day to enjoy the festivities. Even those without pooches were welcome to join in the fun.

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardis Gras Festival are proud to introduce you to the newest member of the Mardi Gras family – The Flinders Seats. You told us you wanted a more affordable viewing experience closer to the action, and we listened. Located right on the Parade route on Flinders St, you’ll have grandstand-style seating with easy access to bars, great food and bathrooms. And the new location on Flinders St means you’ll have ringside seats for the spectacular surprise finale!
This was the perfect way for families to enjoy the Parade, with child priced tickets for under 14s, family packages available, and transport from Central Station included in the ticket price.
Dash Berlin #musicislife Tour 2014 - Sydney
Totem Onelove Group were thrilled to announce Dash Berlin's return to Australia to perform shows across the East Coast in February, as a part of Dash Berlin’s #musicislife Deluxe World Tour. Dash performed shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane the first weekend in February, 2014.
Returning to Australia after a sold out tour earlier this year, across six cities, Dash Berlin engaged fans in a performance that features a rotation of chart topping hits, fan favourites and new tracks from the #musicislife Deluxe album. Complimenting this, will be production elements that create an all encompassing spectacular.
Chinese New Year Twilight Parade 2014 - Sydney
Sydney joined the Mothership Crew on an enchanting celebration of this revered creature, as City of Sydney’s Twilight Parade weaves a magical (and equine) spell from Sydney Town Hall to Harbour Street as dusk descends, with plenty of pre-parade entertainment with prancing ponies ready to burst out of the starting gates and in the midst of it all, a giant Horse waits…

As the sun sets, we celebrated Australia Day with the Dig 1100 Concert. With a must-see list of performances, headlined by superstar Jessica Mauboy, the Dig 1100 Concert kept everyone dancing well into the night and the fireworks spectacular ended the night with a bang!

Australia Day - Cronulla and Parc Menai 2014

AUSTRALIA Day in the shire just keeps getting bigger and this year residents have a choice of three locations to gather and celebrate the national day on Sunday, January 26.
Cronulla Park, 1pm to 9pm.
Kate Ceberano, Mark Vincent and Mental as Anything will perform on the big stage in Cronulla Park.
Brendan Jones — "Jonesy" from 101.7 WSFM — is MC for Cronulla's event with the entertainment kicking off at 1pm including The Voice contest Alex Gibson, Robbie Miller, The Villains, shire favourite Mark Vincent and Greedy Smith, with it all culminating in a performance by Kate Ceberano before the fireworks finale at 9pm.
There was also a barbecue from Cronulla Rotary and Aussie-themed merchandise on sale to support the event charity, Dandelion Support Network.
Parc Menai, 4pm to 9pm.
Live entertainment will start in the park at 4pm with the program including the Smurfs stage show, Australiana Bill and the Bronzed Aussies, Robbie Miller, The Villains and finishing with The Voice contestant and shire local, Tim Moxley, before the fireworks spectacular.
Australia Day in the Port 2014 - Port Stephens
Port Stephens Council celebrated Australia Day, 26 January, at two beautiful waterside locations - Riverside Park, Raymond Terrace along the Hunter River and at Neil Carroll Rotary Park at Fly Point, Nelson Bay.
The day's festivities kicked off at both locations from 9am. With free entertainment, jumping castle and pony rides for the kids, dancing and music performances as well as an amazing street parade in the morning to kick start the Bay's celebrations.
Port Stephens Mayor Cr Bruce MacKenzie announced the winners of the prestigious Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year awards as well as officially welcomed over 40 new Australian citizens in a citizenship ceremony.
Joining the Mayor for the celebrations in Raymond Terrace was Port Stephens Australia Day Ambassador, and Bondi Rescue hero, Bruce Hopkins.
Following the official citizenship ceremony all eyes were cast to the Hunter River for the fun-filled Tomago Aluminium Raft Race.
At lunch, the Mayor arrived at Fly Point, Nelson Bay to continue the festivities with ambassador and special guest, Judy Stone.
