Who We Are
Mothership Events was conceived in 1992 out of an obsession for entertainment and events. Since opening our doors as live music promoters and venue managers, Mothership Eventshas toured The Cat Empire, provided and managed the largest music festivals in the Southern Hemisphere and activated government cultural strategies.
In this capacity it is our responsibility to organise your event from the booking of quality artists and securing venues to providing all staging/production requirements, managing publicity and promotion, as well as, the development and running the event from woe to go.
Our committment to the industry is further highlighted by the scope and longevity of premier events we continue to produce and promote.
Our Team
Brent Lean – Director
Brent has been actively involved in the industry for twenty years as both musician and promoter and has developed a unique understanding from both sides of the fence. He has built a strong reputation as someone who cares about the sustainable development of the Australian entertainment industry.
His relationship with musicians, their management, and record companies guarantees a fair and equitable result for all parties. In particular his relationship with booking agencies and promoters who look after major local and international acts is undeniably strong. They entrust him with the execution of their shows, tours and events. Knowing they will have a quality result means Mothership Music has the power to negotiate the best deals available on artist bookings and production elements, and in turn deliver an event project whether corporate, outdoor or touring, at a level that is unsurpassed.
Justin Nyker – Director
Justin produces and operates a project with precision and an outlook that derives from a wide range of event, arts and entertainment experiences. His networks and relationships with authorities, promoters, artist management and media outlets ensure the delivery of a project at a professional level to the client brief and specifications.
Indiah Redman-Davidson – Event Administrator
Indiah has moved over from London where she was working at London’s leading Performing Arts Venue, the southbank Centre (also known as The Royal Festival Hall), being administrative support to both the Visitor Experience and Ticketing departments. She also has worked at world renowned sporting events such as the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, and various UK music festivals. Her love for events has grown from a child, leading her to attend a performing arts specialist school and completing an Event Management Foundation Degree. She has a passion for creativity which contributes to her organisational skills and logical thinking.
Gabby Demo – Event Coordinator
Gabby has been working behind the scenes in the music & events industry for over a decade, where she has had relentless experience in supportive roles in the record labels, management and as a booking agent.
Gabby has worked for talents such as COG and Shihad at Aloha Management. Booking assistant at Wildfire Agency whose artists include As Grunwald, Mia Dyson, Blue King Brown, The Drones (USA) and many more. Moving on to create her own management hub with co-manager Matty Woo and successfully grow one of Aussie’s best act Dune Rats.
Craig Tyson – Event Coordinator
Craig has 20 years of Venue Manager experience working in some of Sydney’s most iconic venues. Over the 20 years he’s worked on World Cup sporting events, major music festivals and countless concerts at Hordern Pavilion. During the 8 years that he was at the Hordern, Craig witnessed some amazing live acts that continue to live on in the minds of those that experienced the show. Whether it was working with the promoter, production on the punters Craig was a part of the action.
Sophie Woollett – Event Coordinator
Sophie has a genuine flair and passion for high profile and high impact events and festivals. Starting her Events career at Mothership events in 2016, after graduating from UTS with a Bachelor of Management Majoring in Events, she is constantly seeking new challenges and consistently developing both her in-office and on-site skill sets. She loves being part of the Mothership team, and has great people engagement skills and a high attention to detail. Sophie also loves creative work, and is thorough, reliable and looks forward to a long and bright future in the events industry!
